Community outreach
Quilts that hold people
Every year our members make comfort quilts for neighbours who need a little extra warmth. Since 1995, we've donated thousands of quilts.

The program
Comfort quilts, all year long
Our comfort quilt program runs all year. Members piece tops at home and gather monthly to layer, baste, and bind — finishing quilts that go to hospitals, shelters, and family programs across the Grande Prairie area.
Alongside full-size comfort quilts, we also make premie quilts for the NICU and placemats for Meals on Wheels and seniors in our community.
You don't need to be a member to help. Donate materials, fund a quilt, or come to a sew day — every contribution lands on someone's lap.

How to help
Three ways to give
Donate fabric & supplies
Cotton fabric, batting, thread, and working sewing machines all find a home in our donation quilts.
Sponsor a quilt
A gift of any amount helps cover the batting and backing for a comfort quilt.
Join a sew day
We hold community sew days each quarter — all skill levels welcome, machines provided.
